We are all ok but got damage on some trees and a heavy electrical hit, tvs, desktop, Internet, printer, and a biggy the AC seems to be toast

Good evening Alabama! Was 101° again today. I know you guys think that's nothing. We don't see temps like that for very long here. Today was our 30th over 90° day this year. Have a great thirsty Thursday and stay hydrated.

 

Evening Rick and all who pass through here. It was another day with afternoon rains and some storms in some places. I got the yard mowed before the rain came.

 

Thanks guys yeah luckily we have insurance, going this am to talk to them about replacing everything, we had to pay an electrician to come out and do a lightning affidavit to prove the damage was from a storm

Will start cleaning up the limbs this afternoon, just hope that they get the AC fixed this little one room window unit is not cutting it, we may have to break down and stay in a hotel

Yeah we had a lightning strike, when we had a home in Delaware 10 years ago! Same thing electrician verification of the strike, and then they only gave us the money less the age of everything, it wasn't much.

As far as cheaper Steve one advantage of the wifes constant travel we have about 2 weeks worth of free hotel rooms. But to me the realtor needs to get off their azz and pay to fix it. And the insurance is working on screwing us over on replacing the tvs and computers.
Oh well rant and vent over. Lol

 

I know where you're coming from Jeff, our furnace burnt up the control panel three weeks ago, that day and the next were 100°. Got a new furnace and the A/C is great. The next morning the temp inside the house at 0600 was 82°. Should have gone to a hotel also.
