Cut-Off switch

Has anyone installed a Fuel "cut-off switch" in their truck in case the truck gets stolen? I've heard of this done on other vehicles. You would flip this switch and it would break the circuit to the fuel pump. Don't know exactly where it would go, maybe connected between the inertia switch & pump (down by the right kick panel)? Not sure?
Any suggestions?

Cut-Off switch

I know a guy who drilled a hole into the bottom of his ash tray (he's a non-smoker) and mounted a switch in there, which he wired into the starter circuit, which is one of smaller wires on the starter solinoid, or you could grab it from the clutch interlock switch, if you have a manual. Open the ashtray, flip the switch off, and leave the truck. Someone tries to steal it now has to figure out why the starter won't even crank!

Not fool-proof, but it'll slow down most of the bums!

Operations manager,

I supervise the train crews and the dispatchers.

Do all the scheduling and basically make sure the freight gets where it's supposed to be when it's supposed to be there. Not that it's possible

Testing, rules compliance, discipline, training. blah. blah. blah.

I started out as a conductor about 7 years ago and got my engineer cert about 6 mos. later. Was an engineer for about 5 years then got a promotion to Trainmaster now I supervise the guys I used to work with.

For some reason Mike, I thought you were in Texas, even though it says Roseburg OR under your screen name... I gotta stop reading posts at 2 in the morning!

I have to disagree with you there. I think the turbo units sound better. We mostly have 38's ourselves but I prefer the sound of the few gp and sd 40's we have. They load slower but they sound great in 7 or 8 when they're really pulling hard.
