ok we are almost done with the 1993 f350 7.3 idi swap ( cracked flexplate that eventually led to a bad bearing ) and are stumped by a few things---in the harness on top of the motor ( like for glowplugs,etc...) there is a fat battery cable sized red wire that runs up the drivers side of the harness. its fairly long. where does it go ? also theres a 'sender' looking thing on top of the fuel filter bracket-what plugs into that ? then theres 1 small 90 degree push on terminal near the glow plug relay. what does that plug on ? oh, im so close i can smell it.....thank you in advance for any help you can give.
Refresh me, what was the donor engine from. I don't recall any large cable on the drivers side of the engine, from an F series. The sender looking thing on the fuel filter header is the fuel restriction sender, there should be a wire in the harness for that. I don't recall the color of the wire. The 90 degree plug sound like the oil pressure gauge wire.
Are you using the original wiring from the truck or is it from the donor? I would use the original harness from your truck.
