Yup, I go to the Cabin today and get everything in order. Pat comes tomorrow and brings the rest of the eats. Drum chicken, beans, slaw, etc.
This has become a major family event with 4 wheelers, trail rides, fishing, scavenger hunt, etc.
Thursday will be cleanup, put up, come home day. Friday is kitchen counter top day. Wow, my week is used up and today is only Monday.
Have a Happy and Safe 4th everyone.

I'm also going to one of the larger swap meets & car shows this Sunday up here in MA. Hope there are some good parts for my 74 there, I'm really needing headlight buckets, a hood latch, and some other stuff.
Y'all take it easy... I'll be seeing ya before you know it...

Howdy from Madison!
The AC in the house went down on Friday, got it running yesterday...
What perfect timing. I'm heading down to Honduras on a mission trip later in the month, so I figure it was just sweating practice. Gonna be slinging blocks and mud...
Anyone in the Jackson metro area have a slick? I'm trying to clear out a couple extra parts I yanked from my 65, distributor, intake, fuel pump, valve covers,

I was sweatin like a pig, but theAC is good to go, I got running at about 7 last night, so I cranked it all the way down to keep in running and dehumidify the house...
I forgot to reset it though, so it 68° in the house this morning LOL..
Made the coffee taste better.
Gonna put about 3 fans in the garage tomorrow and replace leaky valve cover gaskets, then load up the old beast with kids and supplies and go to Liberty park in Madison for fireworks... at least thats the plan.
Whats everybody's plan for the 4th? I'm not buying any fireworks this year, in fear of starting an unplanned bon-fire. Those images from Colorado have me spooked. Poor folks...those fires are really sad.

No fireworks for me either. Gonna be too busy turning wrenches to enjoy the 4th. Might kick back with some scotch after all is said and done. I've already got most of the parts for the town car so tomorrow is gonna be changing the o2 sensors and repairing the leaky power steering.
Hopefully this weekend I can get around to changing the oil and transmission fluid. Sunday is reserved for the swap meet, hope i can snag some parts for my 74 while I'm there.
