I figure there may be a bunch of these, but I was watching Hogans Heroes today and there was a 48-50 F-2 or F-3 delivery truck. I thought it was pretty comical, figured you boys would get a kick out of it
It was no mistake, it was an advanced prototype created by the master race that the American military confiscated and gave to Ford in exchange for all their help building Bombers for the war effort. LOL
The one that always bugged me was the 1954 Ford ambulance bus that was in nearly every episode of M*A*S*H. I thought the Korean conflict ended in 1953.
For those who are REALLY interested, look into the history of WWII with respect to the factories that Ford had in Germany prior to and during the war. It makes for some very interesting reading when you learn what concessions were made to private industry when it came to targeted bombings.
I guess the thing that struck me about Hogan's Heroes was the green leaves on all of the trees and "snow" spread all over the ground to give the effect of winter.
I was at fort benning GA . They were make the green beret with John Wayne with was film in GA. It was in the fall all the leaves were changing color ,we were out there spray painting the leave green....:-)
I've been watching old Daniel Boone reruns lately, and it is striking to me now how obvious it is they were filmed in SoCal, not in Kentucky. The trees and scrub oak, the barren arroyos, all scream "Southwest". Back in the late-'50's/early '60's when I watched it as a kid, I never noticed.

IIRC, JW is in a scene with a kid saying some nonsense about the war as the sun sets into the ocean. Good trick, as the ocean is on the EAST coast of VN.....
In the film 'Robin Hood' (WB:1938), the Sherwood Forest scenes were shot in Bidwell Park in Chico CA. A car can be seen in the background.
Film 'Bridge on the River Kwai' takes place in 1942, there is one vehicle in the entire movie, a 1947 Chrysler.
TV show 'Banyan' starred actor Robert Forster as a 30's private eye. The title scenes show Banyan entering a building thru a glass door. When it closes, a 1958 Chevy passes by.
Film 'Chinatown' takes place in 1938. Packard V12 convertible driven by Faye Dunaway's character (Evelyn Mulwray) is a 1939.
Film 'Pearl Harbor' was partially filmed in Pearl Harbor. When the attack begins, there's a row of Arleigh Burke class Destroyers visible. The first one was commissioned in 1991, 50 years after the attack.
In the JW film The Conquerer, the Duke plays Genghis Khan, jet contrails are visible in the sky.
In the Lucy/Desi film 'The Long Long Trailer' their car is a Mercury. During the scenes of the trailer going up a steep mountain road, the Merc has morphed into a Lincoln.
One that gets me a lot is uncle jesse's truck on The Dukes of Hazzard. it was usually a 73-77 longbed style side f100/150, but occasionally it was a shortbed, once it was a flareside, and once it was a 67-72 i believe.
In the James bond movie, Goldfinger I think where they are robbing Ft Knox. James Bond has been captured and is riding in an OD green 60's F-100, they turn a curve and it's an OD green Chevy.
