I have a 2003 eclipse conversion van with a wheel chair lift. At 70,000 miles I now have a leaking fuel tank (weeping only at this point). The trouble is, it's not the stock tank, it's something that came with the conversion and eclipse is now out of business.
Even though the floor lowering doesn't extend to the rear of the vehicle, my mechanic is pretty sure this is a special tank. Is anybody out there who knows what fuel tank was used by The Eclipse Conversion People back in 2003?
My guy says it's a welded tank and it has a wet area on the bottom. He's reluctant to pull it out now for fear it will take some time to repair it or find replacement. Anyone know about this, where I could buy an aftermarket tank that would fit?
