I am going to need a new set of tires in a month or so and have been thinking about upgrading the tiny 16's on my truck to something like 20's. I've searched the forum, but all I see are mostly pertaining to 4x4's. I'm in the 4x2 minority with a stock height X. I was thinking about finding a set of OEM 20 inch HD wheels. Would these fit with a set of wheel spacers without needing a lift? My truck needs to fit in the parking garage at work so getting a lift is out of the question. Has anyone installed OED 20's on a 4x2? If so, what size tire did you go with? Would something like a 305/50/20 fit on an OEM wheel, or would I need to go smaller?
Just like that! What is the largest size tire I can fit on there? What size tires are you running?
I'd have to check the size. They appear to be factory take offs with stock tires. I don't think you could go any larger on the tires without adding a leveling kit or something.
This is awesome, I'm in the same boat, 2wd reg cab and I need tires soon. I'm thinking 33x12.50 in the back and stockish 32 somthing in front. Then figure out what to do if/when I get an abs light. Id like to lower the back just a bit and put bigger tires in to get a drag truck kinda look.
OEM 20s w/2" spacers wrapped with 285/55R20 tires. 2WD.
*sniff* I miss my truck sometimes...
Very nice truck. It looks like there is lots of room for a bigger tire, perhaps something like a 305/50/20. Not sure if the stock 20 inch OEM is wide enough for that. Did you have any issues with rubbing?

No rubbing issues. I woulda went with 305s but wanted E rated tires. For some reason I couldn't find them then. Can't remember...
Did you ever check the tires size? I have a line on some 2013 20's with 275/65/20's and wonder if they'll fit on my 2wd 05 Ex
275/65/20 is the size of the tires in this picture. They should fit yours just fine. Maybe a little rub if you turn all the way to the locks, but overall no problems.
