I've searched, yelped, and googled. Not a whole lot out there.........

I have an old IDI (see sig), and while I've done OK to keep it running on my own (first diesel nonetheless), it'd be nice to know where I can go if I get in over my head. Right now I'm looking for someone who can check and set the timing because I don't care to spend the couple of hundred bucks needed for the equipment to do it myself.

I'm located in Poway, but anywhere within an hour of here is fine with me.

I can't say I'm super surprised at the lack of response to this. I've googled for the last three days and can't find any diesel shop that gets a lot of reviews either way, at least not one in SD County. If I have to, I can drive it to Hemet or OC, but it seems a little silly just to get the timing checked/adjusted.

Lemme ask it a different way. Does anyone have any experience with either of these shops?
