I recently purchased a 2006, 4x4, low mileage and when towing a trailer the truck develops vibration right at 52 mph. Dealer has not found the problem. Any ideas?

of course, the dealers never find something your post ain't a lie but the dealer part is, they always knows what is wrong but they want you to spend more money for what you dont need, I trust Ford but not the people who ripped you off
This 2006 f150 4x4 has 43,000 miles, automatic transmission, brand new tires and a 5.4 liter triton engine. The vibration is not there until I tow our pontoon boat. It is not that much heavy weight, most of the weight is on the trailer axle and it only lowers the hitch about two inches with the weight on the hitch. At first the dealer mentioned the pinion angle but after seeing the truck with the boat they say it should not be an issue so they removed the drive shaft and said the u-joints were good. They have asked me to bring the boat and the truck to them so they can check further but i haven't took it back yet. I feel the vibration thru the whole truck it is not isolated in the steering etc. My first thought was maybe something in the drivetrain?
It could be the trailer. if that starts shaking it will transfer the shake through the hitch and up the frame.check the bearing buddies for heat and the tires for uneven wear.
My first inclination was the trailer. Does the vibration go away after you pass through the speed you are talking about? And what is the RPM at when it is shaking? Is the RPM a direct correlation to the speed or is it just the speed that you are at when it does it regardless of RPM?
i have a 2011 f-150 and have the same problem and at the same speed 52mph. I've towed 3 trailers and it does it with all three. The vibration starts at 45mph and continues until 60mph and then disipates, 52mph being the worse. It also vibrates while slowing down at the same spot's, and also 52mph being the worse.
I have a 2006 4x4 with the same problem. I notice the problem when towing my camper and not only around 52 but at higher rpms and slower speeds when towing up hills. Sounds like exhaust vibrating on the frame or something. I have checked everything and cant find anything loose or broken.
