When i start my truck up in the morning or really any times its been awhile since a start. The truck acts real sluggish and does want to go. Pretty much no acceleration whatsoever. Anys clues to what it may be?
I would say a minute up the road it starts acting right. And yes sometimes i do hear a loud blowing sound but.wasnt a 100% sure of where it was coming from. Im still a newb with this truck so any help is.much appreciated
EBPV is a warm up feature on our trucks, it restricts exhaust flow to help warm up the truck.
You can simply unplug it and it should fix the issue.
When the truck is cold (trust me on this) open up the hook and find the turbo in the back, there is a plug on the back side of the turbo, just unplug it.
I'd still say when you get a chance to get the truck on a computer that can read a powerstroke and see live data to make sure the air intake temp sensor and engine oil temp sensor are reading correctly. Those two sensors is what controls the exhaust back pressure valve. It could just be a bad solenoid that's causing it to close. I dout you are somewhere that the temps are under 34*
