'91 E-350 Front and rear ac

I'm buying a '91 E350 15 passenger van and drove it today. I noticed that the front ac barley blew cool, but it was not blowing hot. I felt the rear vent and it was blazing hot. I have no idea about dual ac's in the econolines. Does it have two separate fill ports for the front and the rear system or does it use one fill/test port for the whole system? I know it uses the same compressor, so thats why I'm stumped as to why the front would blow kind of cool but the rear was very hot. If the front and rear were all the same system, wouldn't the refrigerant just leak out of the rear lines (or whichever lines were bad) and front and rear would be the same temp? Sorry, but I've never been good with ac's and I want to learn. Also is there a seperate temp control in the rear of the van for the rear passengers? Thanks in advance!

Eric
