I would NOT. you are going out further on the frame adding MORE stress. I would just box the frame then you could use his RSK

I've emailed with Trevor, and he believes the kit should work with the 87-91 trucks, but no one has yet tried.

I confirmed with Trevor today that his kit does NOT work with the 87-91 trucks.
So, we earlier gen people are still screwed if we want SD springs and a bolt on RSK.....

I think I can answer that one for him. If your truck is already a four wheel drive, then it is a simple bolt on modification. If you have a two wheel drive then you need to box the frame for the RSK to mount to

as far as I know with this kid you don't have to use the Super Duty Springs, you could still use for the older body style. Sky manufacturing also makes a kit that I think came out this year they give you the option to use either spring. I could be wrong about that though

K both my 4x4 95's dont have boxed frames up front is why I ask.. Ive had boss plows on both and had to use the boss part that bolts up the unboxed ends to the boxed section. This mod looks good in more ways then one!

Yes they do if they are 4wd. It HAS to be boxed to have the front shackle there from the factory

Yea, it opens up just after the shackle before the bumper mounts. In my head this was the section all the boxing talk was about. Thanks Brad.
