Ya, dry heat right. Thats only funny when your air condition IS working.
So, brought it in. Tech said the AC compressor came apart from the back side and is done. They are installing a new one as I type, and its under warranty. Tech said he has never seen anything like it, must have been a bad unit from the factory or defective to come apart like that. I am working on finding out what "came apart" means. Sounds fishy
Sounds like you have a freon leak that was getting real low. That would explain some cooling while moving at the higher RPM with air across the condenser coil. Now the freon must have all leaked out. Maybe get lucky with just a loose fitting.
Demo-man, what was the final definition of "came apart"?
Anybody else have current issues like Demo-man?
Mine is doing this "warm at idle" but it is still pretty intermittent, so I hate to take it in. Not sure what they can find if the symptom is not there all the time.
I have the same problem, works fine when moving but at a stop light or idle it starts to blow warmer air. Had it in once for the problem and they could not find any thing wrong. I have never had a AC work like this one, I guess back to the dealer.
Mine is cold all the time. I actually think this air system is much much better than the one in my 2007 F150. I turn mine off max-air after a few miles. We've had several days over 100 this summer.
