hey i'm back about tires. I sold my 15's that didnt fit to a guy with all wheel drum brakes. my ? is will a 36/9/16 buckshot mudder fit under a stock highboy. i know35-12.5 fits but will a narrow 36 in a 16 rim? it would be cool to have diggin tall narrow tire!!! thanks highrider76
My '77 highboy had Dick Cepek 12.5 x 36 x 16.5's on it with the stock suspension and no problems. They should fit if the springs have not sagged much over time?
how can i tell if my springs have sagged? are their any mrasurements i can take to make sure they fit.
and are you runnning any special backspacing?
thanksfor your help
From the centerpoint of the front hub you should have at least 22" to the nearest point on the body to run 36's. This will account for deflection and turning radius.
They dont rub when turning or under flex? I do backroad wheeling where i'm air born. So i dont want any unpleasant surprises. i have a freind with a lifted chevy 2500 could i try his on my truck.
