single shot vs. split shot?
Ok.for my 96 truck cc....i have an extra set of ad injectors....
should i plan on having them done for my truck someday if i need them for this engine or more importantly i hope to build the 2k truck engine and swap it in in place of my 320000 mi engine....or just sell them and put the money into my single shots? I have something else to drive so when the time comes down time is not a big deal....just thinking ahead and not sure how wich way is better...

I was just curious that since the AD's are worth 140ccit and my stockers only 90cc if i just had the ads reworked if it would be better than stock enough or stage 1 single shots would be better.i suppose i should call jim?

The single shots will use less HP Oil than the Splits will. You will need a 17* HPOP at least to run the splits. That and tunes that are designed for the splits hots sticks. Of course you're going to need to have tunes to take advantage of the Stage 1's as well, but those would probably run on stock HPO as long as your HPOP is healthy (but if it has 320k on it.....).
It's really just a matter of what you're after. The split shots run a little quieter (sounds like a SD 7.3) than the singles, but for all out power and performance, the Singles are king.

Ok,sounds like im keeping the singles....one more question.when i do the 2000whole motor that has a hpop on it in my truck....can i run the 17 degree pump on my singles...im thinking it may be better but i am formulating my plan if you know what i mean....thanks for the help!

If your trying to keep a budget and the AD's are in good shape and don't need a rebuild then get a chip burned for splits and run em. If they need to be rebuilt then sell em and have your AA's built as it cost more to turn splits into stageI single shots

The ads were in a core engine i have.i know nothing about them.the engine appears to have been dusted from the build up in one cyl. I will prob sell the splits for what ever i can get and put the money into something for the truck.maybe a chip
