Your vehicle has a data line that runs between modules. It's called a CAN (controlled area network) bus. The data bus has failed and the modules can no longer communicate with each other. This is usually caused by a short in one of the modules that sends voltage down the data bus instead of digital data. To diagnose this yourself you'll need a good shop manual to find where all the modules are. Try either alldatadiy.com or eautorepair.net. Then unplug one module at a time until the problem goes away. That will be the shorted out module.
If you disconnect all the modules and the problem still exists, then you have a shorted or open CAN bus. But that's fairly rare.
Normal Operation
The high speed CAN has an unshielded twisted pair cable, circuits 1908 (WH) and 1909 (BK). The anti-lock brake system (ABS) module, the instrument cluster, the powertrain module (PCM) and the trailer brake controller are all on the CAN. The total resistance values from the module to the data link connector (DLC) must not be more than 5 ohms. If the resistance is more than 5 ohms there is an open in one of the CAN circuits, damage to the DLC C251, damage to one of the communications network module connectors, or damage to an in-line connector.
