I have a '99 f350 ps. Can't seem to find the emergency flasher so I can replace it. My Haynes book says it is located on the right side of the steering column below the instruments & it shows a picture that I can't seem to match up with anything. I look in the fuse box thinking it may yield something, but the cover says refer to the owner's manual. Don't own an owner's manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On my 2001 PS, the flasher is on the right side of the divider that is on the right side of the steering column.
I had to remove the driver side footwell heater tube (1 bolt) to get enough room to put a digital flasher in place for my LED lights. Hope this helps.
If the current flasher still operates, turn it on and follow the clicking to the relay.
Thanks, srteach. Pulled the heater vent on driversside like u said & it was tucked up in there. Never would have thought to look there if u hadn't suggested it. Many kudos your way.
That has to be, hands down, the most ridiculous place I have ever had to change a flasher.
Thanks again!
John
You're welcome. I agree... plenty of space and easy access on the pedal side of that partition, yet they put it on the other side... engineers!
Two engineers were riding across campus when one said,"Where did you get such a great bike?" The second engineer replied, "Well, I was walking along yesterday minding my own business when a beautiful woman rode up on this bike. She threw the bike to the ground, took off all her clothes and said, "Take what you want." The second engineer nodded approvingly, "Good choice; the clothes probably wouldn't have fit."
