Windshield replacement
I have a parts truck with a good windshield, is it worth trying to replace a glued in windshield myself? I'm not even sure that I can get the other one out without breaking it, use a piece of wire to cut the adhesive?
I have done rear windows held in with rubber molding before, and one of the later Pinto's that used the tar like adhesive, but nothing on a newer vehicle.
Perhaps just get the chip fixed? any ideas as to cost?

If you change windshields, I would suggest using Safelite. I had a windshield put in by them over 5 years ago in my 87 Ranger SC 4X4. About two weeks ago, the mirror fell off and took a chunk of glass with it. I called them and the warranty'd the windshield and gave me a new one, installed at no charge.
The original cost $230 (my insurance co. paid for it the first time.)
DW01099GBNN was the number.
