coolant "power" flush?
alright, i've been digging for the the last 2.5 hours on this, to no avail. my key words turn up endless posts on here and google in general for the "flush" n' fill method for "power" stroke diesels, haha.
anways ,would having an oil change place do a coolant power flush save me any time servicing the coolant system? i've read through all the testemonials of people flushing up to 12 times before the sytem is clean, so in my head i'm thinking have an oil change place backflush my system, then come home and drain the radiator and both sides of the block and refill with distilled water and CAT approved EC-1 ELC coolant.

haven't checked them just yet. just bought the truck a few weeks ago, so not knowing it's maintenance history i just want a somewhat-clean slate. an oasis reports that the oil and EGR cooler were replaced at 99k (142k now).. which i would think in 99,000 miles most of the casting sand would have made its way through the system and into the old oil cooler before replacement.
