96 EB Explorer
So since you know what I have, perhaps you guys could tell me some insight on what to watch out for.
Will new projected head lights out of a newer model Explorer fit into my 96?? What would I have to swap out for them to fit? The grill or everything...
What about the back hatch, would a newer model door fit on that? I'm not talking about the two price models just a newer one where the glass looks more flowing and not so square.
What other for wheels will fit this thing? I know mustang wheels will, but what about Expedition or f-150 wheels? If i was to buy wheels what type of offset would I want?
Can I put a newer bumper on my 96 where the full thing is one piece with the little round lights? Instead of a chrome bumper with the square lights below it.
Does anyone know where I can get prices and buy the Saleen body kit?
2 and the newer 99-01 explorer bumper's will fit but not the new explorer's
3 the back hatch from a 98-01 explorer will fit but you have to get new back window's and have to cut part of the back away to get it to fit
4 any thing from the 2002-up explorer's will NOT fit the 95-01 explorer's
and NO F-150 RIM'S WILL NOT FIT... ONLY ranger, sport trac, mustang, and onther explorer rim's will fit

Just to add a few things:
You mainly want to concentrate on 95-01 models. Most everything between them are interchangeable, except the back hatch and taillights (but can be done as ford_tr_man said).
The Saleen kits are no longer made, and about the only place to get one is if you luck out and run across one on EBay or somewhere like that. Be prepared to pay close to $3500 to $4000 for a complete kit...
You cannot get the projection lights, but there is a HID kit made for your X. I'll find the link and post later...
As far as wheels go, all listed by ford_tr will fit, along with Thunderbird/Cougars, and Crown Vics/Grand Marquis...
Hope some of this helps, and feel free to jump in and ask away!

They sell both kits - the single stage (you lose hi-beams) and the dual stage (both low and hi). Kind of pricey, but from what I understand - worth it...
