I know I've seen it before, but cant seem to locate it...What are yalls suggestions for breaking in the new truck? I remember seeing that someone said do not follow the manual. What are your yalls thoughts?

There was a link I read that said to go to a parking lot and put it in a low gear and continuously accelerate and slow down using the engine braking....I found you get sort of the same effect if you drive around town in tow hall mode.

I just drive it around town-stop and go type driving. Put about 800 miles on it that way and then did some unloaded hwy driving (no cruise control operation) to get me to 1,100 miles or so and then more around town and before my first tow of the fifth wheel had 1,500 miles on it. Changed the oil at 5,000 (truck had not told me do so yet) with regular Rotella. Going to synthetic next but undecided on brand. Can get Mobil One ESP Formula M from work for free but Mobil does not grade it through API as it was devloped for Daimler emissions diesels.
