Wow, father son prodjects hit me rite in that warm fuzzy spot, I love em, and what a nice truck, its no surprise why it caught your sons eye. Like youve been told already, this is the best darn site for for you and yours bar none, there are friendly folk here, everything from experts in every field to no nothing beginners ( thats what I was ), it dosnt matter everybody is treated the same, and there is no stupid questions, dont be afraid to ask, do some research if you can so the same question isnt asked daily, and then ask away. I could not of got anywhere on my build without the folks on this site. Oh well thats it I just wanted to welcome you guys, Im glad you found your way here.

Hi there!

I too am new to this and I too bought (Sept '11) my truck for my son (15 yrs old) to rebuild together for him to drive. We are about half way done. Frame up update resto on a 51 F1. It's been fun but not cheap! Well worth it tho. We have a 351W and I'm nervous about that too. I'd be happier with a 289 or something smaller like that, but, it is what it is. How old is your son?

Have fun! This site has been the absolute key to getting this truck done. Without it I'd be so lost and so far behind!

Tyler
