I have a 03 f150 super crew lariat. Body about perfect. interior good except driver seat, ice cold air, brand new tires. 145k miles. I have been told I need a new engine by Ford and 4 independent shops. I was wondering how much I should ask for the truck the way it sits. It runs, but has a lot of hesitation and misses. Very sporatic.
if it dosent run right its not worth anything other than parts. and depending how honest you are if your going to disclose it needs and engine i doubt you'd get more than 1200 for it. dont know anyone whos going to spend 3000 for a truck and then spend another 3 to 5000 to fix it

Here in SE Michigan if its rust free and just say it ran perfect its worth 8-10k. If I were you I would just stick another engine in it. A very trust worthy Ford salvage yard near me sells 4.6 and 5.4's all day long for $1500 I know this because my buddy works there. Keep the truck!
