12 Volt Chrysler Generator
I am curious to know why my dad put a 12 volt Chrysler generator in his 1953 F100.
From what I have seen in old Hot Rod magazines and on some restorods, this is somewhat of a common practice. I'd like to know what's the reasoning.
Here are some pics:
Thanks in advance!

Ummm, I was asking why he would use a generator instead of an alternator.

Old school, he had it laying around, it worked, it fit, it was his project, and like my uncle says, not everbody follows the leader.
