My mom believes that there some things that just can't be made properly without lard. Pie crust is one of them.

My sister is coming this weekend for my daughter's HS graduation. Together we are going to do all the baking for our party on the 16th. Check out the menu:

Home made pulled pork BBQ
Fried and BBQ chicken
Burgers, dogs and brats
salads, veggie trays, blah, blah, blah.
Adult and soft beverages

Strawberry Rhubarb pie w/ a crumb topping
Chocolate rum cake w/ buttercream frosting
Whoopie pies
Chocolate and peanut butter no bake cookies
