The hood side spears turn up on Ebay every so often. You just have to keep your eyes open.
How about an update on your build, NtShade? Did you get your engine/trans installed? Did you stick with the 351C? Be interested to see what progress you've made.
NtShade, 48-52 Fords where only single digit model discriptions, f-1, f-2, f-3, exc. Mercury's had two digits, M-47 and M-68.. In 53 Ford changed to a 3 digit model number for Later they changed the 1/2 ton as we know today as F-150.
The F-2 and F-3 are both 3/4 ton trucks... So I think he was just saying it wasn't a F-250, but a F-2. here is a nice pic of the vin breakdown
