Ok so I keep forgetting to post this. Does anyone else's hear their trucks computer talking on the outside of the truck. As I walked outside this morning I heard it again in the garage. Not sure if it's the sync talking to itself or what is going on. It's not voices or anything like that lol. *
No keys in my hand have not unlocked the doors nothing just walking by the truck. *Have not touched the truck*
The only way I can describe it is a "meep" noise (it's not a beep).
Is that what you're asking about?
If so, it comes from the transmission pan.
While it's not normal in my opinion, it's normal to FoMoCo.
I don't know what it is and I've had the solenoid replacements.
These trucks make more noises when they're aren't running then when they are running. There's half dozen different noises my truck makes after it's been turned off. No idea what it all is and it's done it since day one. Took some getting used to, that's for sure.
Call 1-800- exorcism. I've heard of people talking in their sleep but not trucks. My truck doesn't talk unless I use sync. Sounds like a great horror movie though.
my truck talks to me. it says stuff like "liiiiiift meeee", "biiiggggeer wheeeels", "tiiiitaaaan siiiixty fiiiiive gaaaalllon taaaank", "toooooow sommmmething"
It should tell you to install rear wheel steering so you can actually turn that thing in parking lots.....
Oh btw theres a device installed at the factory to help with that. Its right in front of the driver seat coming out of the dash and has a round shape. It connects to the front wheels so when you manipulate its function it activates the front wheels such that they change anglular position thus taking the vehicle in various directions.
Isn't there a screen on the dash that tells one what angle the tires are turned? sorta like that gauge on a plane, what's it called??? Rudder position indicator thingy..
It's ok Scott, I already knew Jason was overcompensating for something. I now realize you are as well....
What's that, the factory rubber band tires?
My truck made lots of noise when it wasn't running, but that was always after it was shut off. Not sure what it could be doing after sitting for awhile, but this could be an issue with draining your batteries. If you get the chance you could hook up an ammeter in line with the batteries to see how much current is being pulled by the chatter.
mine meeps until the accessory delay turns off then its quite as can be
Same here, 'meeps' when you open the door and it 'meeps' when the parking lights go off. But every now and then it will 'meep' after its been sitting and turned off after a couple of hours.
