Hey Rob, here is what the kickdown rod looks like once it is attached. I had to flip the lever for the transmission to get the kickdown rod to clear the shift linkage:
Cool! So that's what it looks like grease/dirt/oil free!
Holding on the transfer case lever linkage on my truck, and on older fords they clip the transmission shift arm in place. There seems to be quite a few applications.
Oh, okay. I hate working under vehicles like that.
Im glad my truck sits on 33s, it makes it soo much easier to reach around and get to everything. Most the cars I have had always seemed to be off the ground a couple of inches. I hate getting the jack out to do a damn oil change lol.

A strange sight indeed, LOL. Its nice not having dirt and dried transmission fluid getting in your eyes!
I love being able to sit under the hood to work on things. Almost seems like cheating when you don't have to bend over the radiator and tear your back up.
Part of the reason I have not had the AC compressor put back on my truck is that it takes up so much space... it's nice being able see and reach everything.
Heck yeah, makes things easier and less stressful. I have almost made it through the '67 thread, she is coming along nicely! Going to be one sweet ride when it is finished.
Hey Corey, still going to be able to get together on the 8th? You'll have to let me know where. I plan to get into town around 4pm and get checked in. Should be able to meet up with you guys any time after that.

Heck yeah! Still trying to decide if I want everyone to meet up at the Classic 50's or go over to the Pit Stop. It is a new tavern and cafe that opened up with a racer's theme. Apparently they have crankshafts with padded seats instead of bar stools along with tons of vintage pics from the local track back in its heyday.
Yep, it's getting better and better. Once I get the shed built, and get some of the crap out of the garage, I can get my cab back in there. I've got to get some power run out there also, only 2 damn outlets out there. I've got an electrician buddy from work coming out to give me a hand with that.
