Ok i just have a few ?'s about the install of this gauge.
1. What size of hole do i need to drill.
2. How much wire do i need?
3. Does anyone have any pictures of this install?
I remember a post a long time ago on this matter someone installing a gauge right next to the steering wheel on the dash that flat spot. but i do not remember who it was.
If you look underneath the truck around the drivers seat area you will see a rubber plug. Take off the door sill on the inside and the carpet will pull up so you can access the plug, poke a hole in it so you can run the wire through it (for the sending unit). That's how I did it, you can also go through the plug in the firewall.
My gauge came with more than enough wiring, but you need maybe 4-5 feet for each of the two or three wires on the sending unit, and about 3 more feet cut up for the power, ground, and maybe the dash dimmer splice. If it didn't come with any wiring at all, go to Wal Mart or Autozone and buy 5 rolls of wire in different color and make your own harness up.
Wow thank you both for the help. that is the post i was looking for exactly. So i went and got wiring and all that Because the kit did not come with all that much wiring. i am gonna buy a couple more things for this project and i will get down to business. I will post a "Tutorial" if you will, step by step of what i did. Thank you again everyone for the help.
I will prolly need more help in the mid of this lol.
So the install was going well until i ran into a problem... The sensor does not fit my truck the sensor is fine thread and the truck is a coarse thread... how do i fix this issue... Here is a pic
