water + floor jack = ?

A friend of mine borrowed my 3 ton floor jack and got it a little dirty so he tried to be nice and pressure wash it before he gave it back. It now squeaks when you pump the handle and I'm afraid that water might have got in the seals or something. Is it going to fail and my truck to come crashing down the next time I use it? What do you guys think?

and yes I always use jack stands, but there's still those couple seconds when the truck is on the jack while you get the stands positioned.

There should be grease fittings on the jack. New grease should push the old contaminated grease out and then you'll be fine. If you're worried about it, jack the truck up and leave it there for an hour or so. If it doesn't fall it's working fine.

Might spray something like WD40 or such on the pump ram and such, the seal may be dragging a little. I wouldn't get too worried about it though.
