I need to know if a f250 that came with factory plow prep has the same front axle assembly as a f250 that didn't. I've talked with the parts dept and determined the track bar, track bar brackets, and track bar bushing are the same on both trucks.
Something has to be different as my front axle is not in the same place (laterally) as my friends truck that doesn't have plow prep. Mine was pusher further to the passenger side and with the additional 1" in height my front axle should be further to the drivers side than his, if everything was exactly the same.
Hopefully someone has some insight to exactly what Ford does to recenter the axle on a truck with plow prep/heavy duty front end. I need to reverse this change so a drop track bar bracket will work on my truck and actually center the axle. Adjustable track bars to just too pricey!
