I'm a sand guy and I would not do it. if you were to just cruse down sand highway that would be ok. I think it would sink on the hills and really cause frame damage in no time. I plan on mine cruising the dunes too but it will be a cruse and not a bounce or dune run. you tube full of trucks getting destroyed and better off than a OBS.

You need a TTB axle not sure if a DANA 50 is your best bet but lets trade
