My one header is cracked beyond repair according to the muffler shop I brought it to to check it out (The other side's collector was gone when I got it)
Anyway their is a picture in my gallery of them and someone on here once said they looked to be mac headers made for a mid 80's stang.
Well I dont know how to order the right size, the part store people are idiots (canadian tire) and I want to get my discount their since I work for the company. but I dont want to goto the hassle of returning them if they are the wrong size cuz I will get backstocking charges
Anyway I have a 79 F150 302 w/ c6 auto true dual exhaust. no cats and mufflers point to the ground under bed.
I dont know what size the pipe is though, nor do I know the size of the headers.
Is their anyway easier then climbing under truck with a tape measure when it stops raining? I am getting concered about the amount of C02 I am getting in the cab since the leak is right under the passenger floor and I know I have small holes in the floor.
Oh hell I dont care about brand. I thought some hooker headers would be cool (grew up thinking holley was a cool brand) but honestly I dont care. These were rusted when I got the truck. I want some ceramic ones, work told me 550$CDN (which after tax is about what i would pay with my discount)
220$USD works out with shipping to prolly 400$CAD assuming they dont tack on some nasty customs fees I should be ok.
Summit is a good company? never ordered from their.
And your sure that would fit? (can i install these myself or do I need a shop to do it? I have an acetalyne torch and basic tools...and more knowledge than a chimpanzee)
You can install them with basic hand tools but you might need a shop to bnd you some tail pipe. they will bolt right on there. You have literally thousands of choices because of the 302 motor. you will have to search http://summitracing.com and http://www.jegs.com to find whatever size you want but remember to keep them around 2 1/8" primaries so you have a little back pressure.

With standard painted headers you can make "adjustments" to provide the proper fit. With ceramic coated headers you can not make any bends or dings in them or it will ruin the coating. Even with this limitation the ceramic coated headers are the greatest thing since sliced bread.
