Front Caliper Brackets...Quick Question:

Ok...are they ambidextrous? Or are they side-specific?

Advance Auto has a 20% off sale that I want to order the parts from them today...but the retards that do their "Chat Help" are fugging retarded....and now I'm second guessing myself.

I thought they were the same for both sides.... I just needed to know if the bracket they listed was front or back...they told me front left....but can't seem to find a front right.

They are the same and fit both sides. The application shows "front left" and doesn't list the right because it shows to fit multiple applications in the listing.

Multiple Applications
•Front Left - Quantity Per Vehicle: 1

•Front Right - Quantity Per Vehicle: 1

Well, that's what I was asking. Except the listing said none of the above... it didn't indicate front/back/left/right. The Retard who did their "chat help" said it was front left, said they were out of the front right, and could not produce a p/n.

Lack of a p/n proves nothing.

I already bought 2 of them, anyway. Like I said, I was just hoping somebody would re-assure me, lol, shame on me for believing anything that comes from the morons at Advance.

Advance sucks when it comes to information. I use O'Reilly's and Autozone when I look up parts by application. O'Reilly's, at least, states they fit both sides and use the same part number.

I wish i had O'Rielys here...everybody seems to love them.

Nearest AZ to me is 45 miles...only a couple in the state, and they are typically run down and don't carry a lot.

Depending on what it is, I have had good luck getting hard parts from Advance. But their workers, both online and in the store are f***ing morons, it drives me nuts.

I'm lucky to have a NAPA, Carquest, 2 Autozones, 2 O'Reilly's, and 2 Advance Auto Parts within 30 miles of me.

We also have NAPA and VIP. VIP is my LAST choice. I like NAPA, and they are generally the most helpful/knowledgeable. But they are also the most expensive, and considering it's still made in china crap...not usually mu first choice for the more expensive parts.

How much were the calibers? Just asking cause I've never changed mine in 160K but am going to do the hole thing this time. Rotors, calibers, Pads and SS lines. I figure I got my money worth out of the old ones.

I'm replacing the Caliper brackets, the calipers are fine.

The Calipers that Advance had were $60 tho.

IIRC, the brackets are the same for each side. NAPA brackets on my truck when my slide pins decided to freeze up on both ends.

Chet

I did all the brakes on my 97 Subaru except the front rotors (which I ordered today) last year...overall, very happy with the hardware so far, no issues. (*knocks on wood*)

Now given it's a small car and not a large, heavy, powerful truck...but if the quality is equal for the truck parts... It's a hell of a deal, really. Hell, the front calipers are $15 less for the F-350 than the ones for my 97 Subaru are!

And Advance Auto is ALWAYS running sales from 10-25% off...the current 20% off sale ends tomorrow, just FYI.
