2001 f250 charging problem
Hi everybody! I am having a problem with my truck. It recently decided to die on me, and after a bunch of testing, I figured out that it wasn't charging properly. So I put a remanufactured alternator into it. That didnt help, as it's only charging at 12volts. So I got another, and same thing. I then decided to Get a brand new alt, and it is still doing the same thing. I noticed some corrosion on the old plug, so I bought a new one. Same 12 volts. All the fuses have been checked, and so have the relays. All of them are good. Is there an inline fuse or something else I am missing? Anybody got any ideas as to what's going on with the truck? I'm all out of them.

Look, this isn't rocket science. Your charging system has 3 components.
1. Your alternator, it makes power.
2. Your cables, they transmit power.
3. Your battery (or batteries). It stores power.
Most chain parts stores will test your alternator and battery for free. Take advantage of it.
If your cables are corroded, replace them. The corrosion travels father inside of the cable than you might imagine.
