2000 F250 trip computer
Has anyone had problems with the trip computer failing? Is this something I can replace myself, or should I take it to the dealer. The truck is no longer under warranty.

What's wrong with it?
If you can locate a new one, then you can probaably swap it out yourself. Although, I do not know if you'll have to calibrate it with the computer.

2000 F250 trip computer
The trip computer has gone totally blank. I checked all fuses in the panel. The "mode" and "E/M" buttons light up at night, but the display unit itself is blank.
I noticed that before it went totally out, that it would change views (mileage, temperature, etc) without anyone pushing the buttons.

ChasIII I hope you will give me the name and phone number of where you found that Module. I called my local dealer and he wants $336.37 and that does not incluld the console. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

That price is cost from a Ford Dealer if you buy as a jobber. My buddy owns a body shop and he called and got the price on the part for me. I would suggest finding a friend who is a mechanic or a body man to call your local Ford Dealer to get it for you.

Chas111 I have not found anyone who can get it for 187.00 in this area. They all quote me 300.00 or better. I would be glad to give you the 187.00 or more if reasonable and I will be glade to pay shipping. I do not trust the salvage yards with out testing and they do not have a way to test them.
