fuel injection

hi everyone, im building a 351w, its gonna have 9:1 compression, edelbrock cam, headers, i was planing to use an edelbrock 600 carb but now im kinda interested in injection. i want to put the engine in a mid 70s truck. i was wondering about grabbing the injection off a newer 351w and using that insted of a carb, i know it would have to be a mass air system to work with the performance stuff in the engine. would this work? would i get any more power? what all would i need to grab off the donor engine to make it work? any ideas on how much this would cost?

check out http://www.windsorfox.com/ EFI conversion is not cheap. You would be better off to get a late model truck engine so you can have all the sensors, pcm, etc.Windsor fox sells wiring kits or you can scab your own.You will also need a High Pressure fuel pump and a late model ignition system. If it's a daily driver you will see the benefits of better gas mileage and drivability. But you can buy a helluva lot of gas for the $$$ you will spend. You can make plenty of HP with a carb.Plus those old motors just look so clean without all the late model efi and pollution junk.
