Chassis paint?
OK, I'm starting to really dislike the surface rust accumulating on drivetrain parts under my truck. What can I use to make it all a nice solid black and keep it that way? Parts like the axles, driveshafts, leaf springs, and hitch to name a few.
I would prefer something that can be brushed on. I don't want to have to take parts off or mask to spray. I paint by profession, so proper prep through sanding, priming, whatever are everyday occurences in my field.
I live in Connecticrap and frequent VT in the winter to do some snowmobiling (Arctic Cat F7, top speed @115mph
). So there's a lot of salt everywhere. But I give a complete power washing to the underneath of the truck in one of those do-it-yourself car wash bays when I get back.
I understand that one application isn't forever, so an annual recoat is no big deal. Thanks for the help.

Whiteford: There is'nt a lot you can do with it since it has upper east coast salt on it! Just trade it in and get a new one before it melts away in the driveway.
But if you want to be stubburn and keep it, try doing a search for the website for "Por-15", This stuff is amazing, I have used it in the past for different projects and it works like they say it does!
