2006 f250

I have a 2006 f250 with 80,000 miles on it. It just recently started showing a wrench when Ive been driving for about 30 min. I don't lose power everything seems fine. What do I need to do ?

Go to AutoZone or Oreillys and have them try to read the DTC they do it for free

The wrench Light is more of a Manufacture specific Code so The chain store code reader might not read it IDK worth a Try though

It sounds like it could be the wrench Light for a Plugged Oil Cooler out of the 15* SPEC But Not 100% shure but 30 minutes driveing thats probably just enough time/miles to get to out of spec readings on that Oil Cooler

Do you have any Gauges????

ECT and EOT specificaly?????

It is a "flash" Ford put out to monitor the temp differences for the 05-07 model years.

Here is the TSB 09-24-3:

http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/fo..._211519_A1.pdf

They hooked it with the wrench light. Which the 03-04's do not have.

Here is an earlier TSB 09-08-03 on how to do a test for the temp spread:

ECT= Engine Coolant Temp

EOT = Engine Oil Temp.

A lot of folks here use the Scangauge II for those gauges.

Some use Edge Insight

Some use their tuners (like SCT)

Some use their phones (like Torque APP for Android, and DashBoss for iphone)

Do a search on each of these and you will have plenty to digest.

I use mainly Scangauge II

I also have the torque APP for my phone, (and bluetooth adapter) and it does a better job of reading codes than the Scangaue II
