Question Largest tire on superduty?

Hi all, I'm new to this forum, found it when i was looking for places where i can ask questions about my truck. I have a 2002 F350 PSD 4x4 running with stock tires on it, ready to replace. I'm looking for the largest tires that i can fit on my stock rims without having much rubbing or troubles with them. I'm wondering about some 305/70r16, would those fit or rub a little bit? I saw a F250 4x4 unlifted with some 315/75r16's on it and was wondering if they would fit or rub a bunch. And what would be a good tire? Right now my main choice is the Goodyear AT/S right now, but your opinions would really help! Thanks for your help in advance!

Largest tire on superduty?

i replied to your question in other forum .I am running the 305-75-16 Goodyear Wrangler Ats9stock rim) and am very happy with their highway ride as well as flotation and traction in the sand particularly when pulling my 9k lb toybox through it.Very happy especially at $169 each.Even though I had to get 5 so i had matching spare.

Well the next size up is a 315-75-16(35-12.5-16) but I think you will have to much tire bulge which resluts in soft side to side stability. The 305-70-16 are pushing the envelope as it is and really should be on an 8-8.5 in wide rim.I have seen several trucks running the 315's on a 16x10 rim and a 2-3 inch lift and it looks great in my opinion
