Middle Console Question

When we first got hold of our latest X it had a damaged brake line and would continuously leak brake fluid. Anyway we would always have a bottle of brake fluid in out center console but somehow some leaked from the bottle and went all over the buttom of the inside of our center console. My question is if the center console is liquid proof in the area that none of the brake fluid went on the carpet underneath of the console. Or will any liquid spilt in the console go through the buttom and onto the carpet under it?

Should be bolts holding the console to the floor of the vehicle, theoretically there could be some seepage between the bolt, hole and console.

Just pull it out and take a look?

I was thinking the same on seepage around those areas but was feeling a bit lazy to really go to unbolting it to see. I guess maybe I need to spare myself sometime being the console should be washed anyway after it leaked in there.
