Found an unknown wire under the dash

Found this plug/wire under my dash just above the fuse box.

What is it for.

I circled it in yellow.

thats looks like the plug that right beside your headlight switch. should be a oval plug where your moveable pedal switch would go. unless your truck has moveable pedals then it goes to nothin.

Those look like the pass thru wires so you can add stuff to your truck. Look under the hood above the brake master cyl and see if they match. Should be 4 stowed there as well.

The adjustable pedal switch has seven wires that are coloured as follows: three black wires (which are ground), one light blue with orange, one light blue with red, one light blue with black and one red with light blue striped wire. If those are the colours of wires you see, then we've identified that connector.

John, I just went out to my truck to have a look to see if I could find that connector. It appears that IS the connector for the adjustable pedal switch. The wires to that connector should be wrapped in red electrical tape, which brings up another interesting question. Is your truck even equipped with power adjustable pedals? I know that your truck is a Lariat, that is equipped with power heated seats. But it seems redundant to have adjustable pedals too, if it has power seats. If the answer is NO, to adjustable pedals, I guess we now know that even on trucks not equipped, the wiring to it is still present. Another piece of useless information I guess.

Those are the the wires used for your 4 accessory switches on your dash.
You have to get into the under dash fuse block and power up first before using.
I used aux #1 switch for additional front beams.

The up fitter switches only provide power. The ground wire is grounded to the body or frame. Unless you need two power wires the use a butt connector.

Did I answer your question? Or did I miss understand?
