X Tire Sizes - Good Grief - Please help

Sorry to wear out the forum but I have another question.

I am doing a suspension upgrade through Cary at CT Performance. I am doing the 2-3" lift to accomodate 33". I think the taller lift for 35" tires will be too high for my wife (5'5") as she is the primary driver.

Also trying to decide between 18x9 or 20x9.

It looks like the two tire sizes that match up to the 20" rim are:

285/55/20 = 34.6 inches
Question: Is there a common tire size on the 20" rim that yields 33"

305/65/20 = 33 inches. Is this the only 20" rim size that will get you to 33"? Not sure I want the 305s & that much rubber on the ground for MPG.

Thanks for the help

I don't think you can wear out this forum.

As you know I have the same set up you are wanting to go with, I went with a 20"x10" rim with 4.5" backspacing. The tire I went with was a Mickey Thompson ATZ 305/55/20 (roughly 33.5 inches tall). I wanted to stay away from 35's having just come from them on my previous vehicle. 33's ride great and the Mickeys look really aggressive without all the noise of an MT tire. I got the tires for roughly 350.00 each and the wheels (Moto Metal 955) for $299.00 each. The wheels and tires are certainly not cheap but I found a place that had a great deal, email me if you want details. I believe I sent you my email.

For reference here is a before and after with the wheels and tires. Sorry, no center caps.... had not put them on in the 2nd picture yet. Going to do an updated photos thread soon of the finished product when all is said and done.
The rear is a little low, have a 4" block coming from top gunz to fix that issue.

No need for a lift other then the spring swap this is factory size before and factory 20s with 275/65/r20

There is no rubbing and no lift other then the spring swap. Tires were $252 each. And in my case with the 7.3L diesel no change in MPGs, just in looks
