How do you remove the bank 1 O2 sensor on a '97 F150 5.4? There is no room to work. Is there a special tool or do I have to remove the exhaust system? I can barely get a wrench on it and I am afraid the corners will round before it breaks loose.
It might be easier if you go in from in the inner fender.
I use a socket made for O2 sensors (you can find cheap ones in most parts stores) and a flex ratchet.
I usually use long needlenose pliers and a long thin screwdriver to unplug the connector...again from in the inner fender.
