Hell on Wheels
Last saturday i decided that i would check my front bearings, (after a year of going through muddy puddles there will be something in there). So i pulled apart my manual hub on the drivers side, lo and behold, the whole thing was packed chock full of mud mixed with grease. Looked at the bearings... shot. Cleaned everything off replaced bearings and races and seal. Drivers side went great. On to the passenger side. Pulled the manual hub apart, no mud, (thinking to myself, yes.. easy fix...boy was i wrong). Using my finger i scraped some of the grease out and there was a lot of metal shavings, figured a bearing blew up on me. Got the hub off and the races out i could see where the race moved and started cutting a new path out of the hub, not cool. Called up pepboys, they wanted $147 for a new hub/rotor assembly, no way. Tried for about an hour to get a hub off a 80's bronco from my friends garage, (was a one piece and the rotor was shot) Today i'm going to call around to some junk yards to see if i can just get the hub part and not the rotor.
Also, i'm planning on installing my jacobs ignition, i have Borg Warner plug wires, will these be okay, also, is .060 gap too big?
