im thinking about adding these CargoBuckle - Products
im thinking about a custom spot like replacing those ruber things under the window in the bed but far in the corner at the bottom
here is what im talking about
so is it possible for me to put these hooks right there
thanks
1. Dimensions of the cargo buckle
2. Depth of the flush mount system (probably meant to be in the floor as they're likely a couple to a few inches deep. Might not have that much relief between bed and cab)
3. Why these and not a $20 set of ratchet straps from the local auto store? You already have the factory bedside tie downs right? What do you haul that frequently?
In addition to what McDavis mentioned, if you're thinking about mounting them in the vertical surface of the front of the box there may be added issues. Does it have the physical strength to take whatever you're planning to hook up to it? I'm guessing you'd have to cut into wherever you're thinking about mounting them, what if they fail in the future and you can't get a replacement?
I agree, you already have factory tiedowns and add a couple of ratcheting strap clamps and you should be pretty much covered I would think.
The only reason i want these is because the look nice and because 2 years ago i was movie and my Hooks snap on 3 corners and that made a couple of my stuff to fall out like my flat screen and some furniture so i want something stronger because i dont want to always half to replace something

This will sound wrong and it's not ment to be, but sounds more like you either are using the wrong vehicle, overloading it or using the wrong straps/tiedowns.
I have a business there's many-a-time I've moved a full bedroom set, or a diningroom table and chairs, etc to the shop to work on. Some things are big and bulky. If I don't feel comfortable putting them into my truck and be confident of strapping them down, I'll get a enclosed truck to haul it in. It makes no sense to risk financial loss over so small a thing as a rental as needed.
Sorry but this sounds more like an operator error than equipment failure.
i decided not to install them but by upgraded oem straps but probably from a 2008 f150 because i did my research and that was the year that they got more carrying limit and i will also buy the hooks from the 08
here they are, these are the staps i was talking about. at first i was looking for them then i chatted with a worker at ford and they said they dont sell them no more except one place so i found them
What are you talking about?? That is a ratchet strap, you can buy them from many different places. Many different brands and many different stores. When you say OEM it means it was from the manufacturer. Ford doesn't manufacture ratchet straps. This whole thread is very confusing to me. I thought you were talking about your tie-down hooks that are mounted on the bed. IDK.
