I will definately get an explanation, but the truth is another thing. Getting him to admit he did something wrong will probably never happen. Every engine tuner and mechanic I talked to says it was messed up from the beginning. All problems happened within 300 miles.
Just make sure you have documents. Tuning can really be a scary thing. Was it a forged motor?
Motor was built by VT Engines when they were still in business. Cobra block, CP pistons, Manley rods, Fox Lake stage 2 heads, blower cams, all ARP fasteners. Troyer had it built for me.
Welcome to the VA chapter. There are lots of characters floating around and a boat-load of knowledge. I'd love to hear more about your build. Sorry to hear about the troubles.
I know I haven't been active on here for a while, but I still don't truck running. Troyer got word that I thought he had made a mistake tuning the truck. That was the wrong thing to do. He got mad at me and took my truck and parked it outside for about 2 months and would not reply to my phone calls. I eventually had to go to their shop with a trailor and pick it up. I am currently waiting for another mechanic to get caught up so he can fix the dead cylinder problem. I will then need to find another tuner that does custom tunes on Ford trucks. I am sure it will need to be done on a dyno because it isn't even close to stock anymore. Does anyone know who I could take it to? So far the closest place I can find that is knowledgeable with our trucks is 5 star in South Carolina. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
