I am having a Problem with my wipers.
I only have 1 speed and that is high
no low and no Intermittant speeds at all.
Started out that would work sometimes and not others.
Start with the interval governor & the switch. See if they're sending power to the motor in all positions by checking at the motor connector. The Haynes manual has wiring diagrams that you can use with your multimeter or 12V test light. You can use ANY year's diagram from '80-91 - they all use the same circuit, so look at the one that's easiest to read.
"These"? These Haynes manuals? At almost any parts or book store for ~$12.
"These" interval governor are near the dash fuse block, or behind the instrument cluster, and the switch is what you turn the wipers on with. You can see a pic of them in my Fullsize Truck Parts photo album in my signature link.
But you should test them by unplugging the connector from the wiper motor (at the top of the firewall under the hood) and seeing if it's even getting power. Use a 12V test light or a digital multimeter (DMM). You can find both at Wal-Mart, or any parts or electronics store.
