My friend that I bought my truck from said he had some extra parts laying around for it. I finally went by today and got most of what he had. I managed to get a brand new Ford grill, inserts, front bumper and a used rear bumper that's in great shape. It looks like I got around $1000 worth of parts for free.
Now I need to get the truck painted and get this stuff installed. It will look way better since all those parts on it now are pretty trashed.
Not yet. If I post one it will be after I finish doing this stuff. All it would be right now is pics of beat up stuff on the truck and shiny stuff sitting in the garage.
We've got a large slab in the back yard, so I'm tempted to see if my roommate/landlord is cool with me working on the truck there (his huge mill takes up most of the garage). We do have to move a bunch of **** before I'd be able to get the truck back there though.
Realistically, it will probably be at least a month or two before I start swapping parts.
Thats what a build thread is, introducing the truck as it is and then show the progress even the lil stuff like swapping rusted parts for chrome. Just thought your story would be interesting to follow.

If I remember to take pics from the beginning I may go ahead and start one and update as I go. I just feel weird bumping threads for updates continuously. Back when I was into mini bikes (used to be a mod on the largest mini bike site there is) I would always forget to take pictures when I'd do stuff.
Also got an NOS steering wheel for it today. My friend had one but couldn't find it when I was over grabbing parts last weekend. He brought it in to work today and it's going to look much, much nicer than the cracked to hell one that's on there right now.
edit: Also talked to my roommate and he's cool with me doing work on the slab as long as I lay down a tarp and don't **** it up.
