Blackberry Smoke

Dont worry guys im not gonna start making threads all the time about obscure artists But i think this band deserves the attention. If ya like the southern rock.classic rock sound then check these guys out. Its like the 70's all over again. there first album was a good solid classic hard rock sound, the second more southern rock oriented and the newest album really covers the spectrum from hard rock to southern rock to countrified.

Ain't Much Left Of Me - YouTube

and the newer version thats on the album

Blackberry Smoke - Ain't Much Left Of Me - YouTube

When the levee breaks happens to be one of my fave led zep songs so the live version is definetly awesome

I was ready to read a story about a Crackberry catching fire in someone's pocket, backpack or purse!

Caleb I don't mind your posting your music here----I think or hope most of us have a wide range of what we like and crank way too loud while driving!

This band is very much Lynard Skynard-inspired which is not a bad thing at all. Fact is for me the best stuff was during the 70's when The Alman Brothers, Marshall Tucker & even Blackfoot were well known and kickin' it out. During the early 90's Kentucky Head Hunters were close to being one of those "guitar armies"---being a guitar player myself from the 50's, 60's and into the 70's (today too!) nothing beats a Telecaster cranked up loud though some sort of amp!

Thanks for sharing---here's something for ya:

That is a great tune by Hank Jr Caleb---thanks for posting it!

Waylon, much like Johnny Cash, one day will be "rediscovered" by the younger music lovers and he'll be a success all over again. He was quite unique and from what I've heard wanted to be thought of as just himself, not lumped in with the "outlaw country" too many associate him with even today. He never seemed to be purposely rowing against the stream, just making music as he thought it should be.

Waylon might not have done it Hank's way but not too many can do it Waylon's way either!
